The Twenty-Third Cat Psalm

Author Unknown
The world is my playground, please provide what I want.
Whether in verdant pastures or atop cushy beds
alloweth me repose.
Though I leaveth behind cat hair, a “gift” of mouse or bird,
or an occasional hairball, be pleased to honor me
and bid me come forth
with treats and toys and some tuna.
Even though I walk the dark valley of a finicky eater,
spread my foods before me.
For you know that only goodness, grace, and cuteness
follow me all the days of my life.
And we shall dwell together in the house
I think of as mine.
