My Cat's Purr

Hushed and low, a sweet hello
simmers softly 'neath his coat
All is well, the music swells,
reverberates and fills his throat

Rumble rises to a trill
Song of joy he can't contain
Pure contentment, utter bliss
emanate from each refrain

Divine elixir for my ills
Melodious balm that soothes and heals
Sweet vibrato 'neath my cheek
Feel the comfort, feel the peace.
